Not that this stuff is new or odd, he just didn't expect Mydei of all people to have such a following or a whole... all of this. It's both fascinating and also truly brings out a sense of fondness in the Deliverer, Phainon equating it to times when he was around children in Amphoreus.

So here he is, head tilted into his arms, lying on top of the table and staring curiously at the treat that just was used for a promotional post. Phainon almost, almost raises a finger to poke it, but reconsiders when he knows how Mydei may snap at him for it instead. He looks like a kid watching a parent make something in the oven, eyes flicking to the other and then back to the food in front of him.]
[ a demand that will go unheard, just as it has the fifty other times that Mydei has made it. he doesn't look up from his phone, calmly flicking through the photos taken of the dessert. it takes a moment, more than one moment, for him to finally settle on one and post it alongside a promotional spiel for the Chrysos Heirs Bakery. ( he's still unsure why he settled on the name, why it makes his chest tight and his palms itch. ) opening day is soon, after all, he has to make certain all the effort and money put into this venture pays off.
but the post was the one thing allowing him to pointedly ignore the white haired man all but crowding his space and now? well, now Mydei finds his task complete and his sharp golden gaze falling onto that said man. ]
It's a tart, lemon tart to be exact. Are you so blind that you couldn't figure it out by just looking at it?
[Mydei may scold him for ignoring the request, but Phainon can't help but smile regardless, because it's familiar. Familiar in the ways they would spar, in how they would talk with each other in the baths some days, how they'd discuss ideas and whatnot on the rooftops of Okhema. Not that he can actually tell Mydei any of this, because he doesn't remember Phainon yet. But that's fine, he doesn't mind waiting however long it takes- because eventually, he'll remember. He has to. He has to.
Still, the gaze towards him causes the man to perk up excitedly, only to make a face in return.]
